7 Things a Bride wants you to be.

1. Take her seriously and professionally in all aspects of the wedding planning and guide her thru this tough time with caring support to her needs .Offering advice on timing, planning, song choices, genres, speeches, and much much more. All this can only be carried out if you have confidence and gig experience under your belt. I offer this service with a 1-2 hour consultation at your place and time so that you feel comfortable to be open and honest about your choices. That is not before I have worked for a few hours behind the scenes getting to know you a little. As I believe that the personal approach is vital.

2. Know your stuff. Musically, professionally, set-up. venue and more. Find out from the bride the who, what when & where's of the event. Take time to suss out the venue, contact them for plans, audio requirements and finalise the week of the event. Have a liason on the day to consult. Best plans change at the drop of a hat. Especially when 100 or more guests and caterers are involved with menus. So buffers and alternates need preparation also.

3. A positive personality, +++, this is a must. She must feel this the first time she calls or emails you. This is easy to portray if you have it naturally. Most of us in the business do and are keen to help others enjoy their special day as they choose. I am flexible to your needs however quirky, geeky and unique you can be. I will dress appropriately to the occasion and have a smile at all times.

4. I carry a digital diverse music collection from 7 decades of music genre from 1940 to current chart bangers and dance hits. Over 30,000 songs. Especially Rock 'n' Roll era; Disco Hits & Good Ole Dance Floor Anthems from Musicals and TV.

5. Read the crowd, this can be tricky as some people just don't wanna dance. Maybe just sometimes I may have to resort to getting some crowd participation here.

A little anecdote or switch back to an ole favourite just to boost night and keep the mood there. There is always going to be ebbs and flows. People chat, get drinks in and eat. Some still partake in outside activities. . ... I do prefer outside events in those situations.

6. Just Listen ! Yes that sounds easy too. Yes I can listen to your needs, you are in control of the day, night event in question. I want what you want satisfaction. As much as you desire your event to be special, I want to enjoy giving you that great satisfaction. As I believe that if you truly enjoyed the night the next step is number 7. Heaven !

7. ........So the final song is playing........ now that finally the brides day is over and her new life has begun.....she's happy, blissfull, and full of praise for you. Now all she has to do is "Word of Mouth advertise" and you'll get repeat business. So step 7 is always being thankfull and gracious . Don't forget to thank the couple, the venue for their business and they will repay the favour.
